Thank you for stopping by for biblically based conversation. Please note that deeply embedded in my heart is the desire to inspire & encourage others.

When faced with adversity giving up seems like the path with the least resistance. However, to counter times like those a very wise man wrote, “a word spoken in due season, how good it is!” (Proverbs 15:23) In my experience, a word of encouragement from others has made a positive impact in every aspect of my life.

Let’s talk about how adversity becomes the fertilizer that enables each of us to grow spiritually. Surviving is not just a buzzword but a reality that so many declare with joy. Real talk: living without surviving is impossible. Surviving is the first step to enjoying the life that God has for you! Words have the power to save us when we find our voice.

“It is during the process of not being able to get out that you become a survivor. Growth is cultivated in the toxicity of an illness, bad relationship, or other difficult circumstance. It is not apparent, and it does not feel as though anything good can come out of what you are experiencing, but after the process is complete, you will be stronger.”

Dear Survivor: Let's Talk

“A change of view is necessary in order to move forward with a survivor mentality instead of a victim mentality. One very helpful and simple suggestion is to get rid of the question, "Why did it happen to me?” and to ponder "Why did I survive?" Your journey is not over. It has only been interrupted, paused, or rearranged."

“Dear Survivor: Let’s Talk” is an inspiringly candid account of the author’s battle with cancer. Throughout the piece the author reveals the importance of varied components of survivorship. She imparts wisdom on everything from the selection of those in a survivor’s inner circle to being able to glorify God even in the fearful recesses of the mind.

One thing was certain, one theme remained constant and that was her faith in the sovereignty of Almighty God. Her journey is both beautifully humbling and spiritually encouraging for the survivor in us all.
